I did this for Kimmi's June Color Challenge but I think I have failed miserably. :(

The Jornaling is -
The Object of the Guild of St Helena is to promote the Christian Faith among the members of the Armed Services and their families, and among the civilians attached to those Services, and their families, and to relieve in cases of need the wives, widows and dependents of members, and ex-members of the Armed Services and of civilians attached to those Services.

Mum joined the Guild when Dad was based in Cyprus where life then became one long preparation for fetes. I remember her often working on the Handicraft Stall her talent for making almost anything was a wonder, from Wee Willy Winky nightdress cases to hand & finger puppets, Joy had a Cowboy and I a Squaw hand puppet. At Christmas she begged Santa's off the local shop keepers, stood them up in plaster of paris for snow adding glitter and made sacks filling them with other kind shop keepers donated sweets. One year she dressed me up in crepe paper from head to toe and asked local shop keepers to donate handkerchiefs then pinned them to me, I worked all afternoon selling them for the charity the Guild was working for that year, it was so hot I remember. On the Cake Stall Mums Simnel Cake always went down well as did her chocolate cake, still does here. Lol!!! I will say the Greek Cypriots were very kind, generous people.

Thanks for looking girls, Suzie xx
