Hello All! This is my GGU Alonzo Parish, Sarah Parish Bevis (who I just scrapped) brother. I was able to date the photo because he wrote on the back "to Sarah Bevis, A. R. Parish take April 10, 1923, age 53.
Alonzo moved from Alabama to Arkansas and owned a general merchant store. He was also a U. S. Postmaster, which was common that a general merchant would be back in the day. It was Lauralsattic that gave me the idea of the pen nib with the feather.
