Journaling reads: When Spring "Springs" in our town, we have birds that fly into our windows in an attempt to scare off "other" male birds (their reflections). To stop this self-destruction, Terry came up with the wild idea to create a giant poster of a hawk. He made the poster using several pieces of 8.5 x 11 paper and piecing the image together. He placed the final image in our window. To our amazement, it worked! Apparently, the birds are more afraid of a hawk than a threatening male opponent!
