This lo is of my son and his struggle with the truth.
I wanted a totally black and white layout to signify the truth (it's all supposed to be black and white, right? -- at least at this age). :-)
Journaling reads: Nine has been a trying year. Daniel has been pushing the limits on telling the truth. The lies always start off politely ... yes ma'am or no sir. Unfortunately, it is sometimes followed with a lie. Thankfully, the lies are never harmful to others or to himself. Mostly, the lies are concerning chores to be done, school work to be completed, or personal hygiene. I'm sure that this is a "phase" (as my mom calls it). I'm just ready for it to end!
