I have to admit that I don't feel very sophisticated most days. In fact, rarely ever, and that is ok. I guess what struck me most about the above quote by Jim Henson, is the fact that lately I hear so many people my age or older say that inside they still feel like a child. Or even just someone half their age. And I have to agree. I may have turned forty last year, buy why do I feel so much younger? I mean except for the fact that some days I don't seem to have a lot of energy. Or the ability to get off the floor as quick as I did when I first started teaching preschool. But there are many days when I steel feel like a kid. This is especially true when I get around my parents and their friends. And sometimes, when I have a rough week or day, I still just want my mom. I wonder if this is what they mean by the expression “young at heart”.
