What a treasure of a photograph! I love the Echo Park papers - they're just perfect for old photos like this one. Your scattered hodgepodge of findings and embellishments give a true treasure hunting feel to the whole page, and I love the pop from the yellow flowers.
I looked at each square santimetr of your LO! This is outstanding, Alice! Love everything about this page! and, of course, a photo is a great memory about your Mom's childhood.

Awesome page. I love the burlap framing and all the layering. The little details are fantastic. That photo is wonderful. So nice to have such great memories.
This photo was taken circa 1923. My mother's family and their friends would load up in this old truck and travel out on Long Island to picnic on a piece of property owned by my her grandfather. This area was "the country" and there were no houses this far out on Long Island. Of course, now "the country" is a suburban area filled with houses. Development began after World War II and my grandfather built a house there. When I was a child my mother would tell me stories about these picnics and the wonderful good times they would have. She is in this photo, standing far right, and her brother is standing on the left.
