I found this image on Pinterest. It was taken in the early 1900's.
Those are real flowers under the photo, just an impulse to put them on. Knockout rose to the right of the photo, then underneath is lavender, jasmine, and rose leaves. Theyre from my yard. My sister gave me the hoop earring at the left side of the page. Also the big diamond earring at the upper left of the pic,the silver bracelet with tiny hearts, the onyx and silver earring at the upper right of the photo.
Quick Silver, my good friend on scrapbook.com gave me the small trim at the lower left corner of the page,i cut it up so its in several places, the metal flower at the lower left, the big chippies on the right of the photo, and the little metal round piece at the bottom left of the photo.
All the pearls are greyish and are from a necklace my mil gave me a long time ago. From the same necklace is the string of tiny grey beads around the top of the pic.
I found a jewelry making item, similar to the ms jewelry molds. It has 6 different designs on it I think, and theyr for texture. I spent a lot of time trimming around baked sculpy clay , then painting and stuff. I wasn't too thrilled about the results, although I do like the way they looked before I painted them. The ms mold for the butterfly at the bottom I liked, there's a smaller one to the right but the sun washed it out. That's red satin on the oval mat there. I had to use a different color on this lo , im getting burnt out on blue and purple. Im not too comfortable working with red and black right next to each other.
That's a puffy paint flourish on the right edge of the page, its heated and painted. I got that idea from Reneabouquet. Its weird how puffed it gets, and then explodes a little too if you keep heating it.
I was very interested in an idea I got from an old scrap magazine . Ive been going through them to see if I can get rid of some.I could use the space for other things the mags take up. One manufacturer had these stamps that include little areas to put your gems on. Earlier I meant to say I cut out the clay before I baked it. It doesn't make much sense otherwise. I didn't use a lot of them, also didn't some chippies I spent time on. The chippies I show are lots of layers, some that don't show cuz I took them off. Inks, paints,i forget what else.
