I'm so excited to be posting this layout today. It's my very first layout for my new DT assignment with Nuts About Sketches. I was so excited when I got the news! It's my first "away from home gig!"
The sketch and the other DT projects can be found at the Nuts About Sketches blog site here : http://nutsaboutsketches.blogspot.com/
I worked this project up using a new company called Farmhouse Creations, located here in Oklahoma, and featured at my LSS, Scrapbook Alley in Harrah, OK. The sunflowers were done with the Tim Holtz tattered floral die, the envelope is a StampinUp die, and the leaves are from a McGill punch. I used a wet distress and pinch technique on the leaves to give them a little more life. The sun charm started out silver, but I made it fit my page scheme by coloring it with some alcohol ink. The button centers are vintage. I have a real jones for buttons - especially OLD buttons!
The photos - that's me on the far right - were taken one day in San Diego while my mom and my sister and I were waiting on my dad to take care of some kind of military something or other.
I'll be teaching this project in October at my LSS as part of my heritage class.
