Our first evening we visited one of the famed water puppet theatres in Hanoi. Dating back a thousand years, they are a truly Vietnamese art form. The puppeteers stand in waist deep water behind curtains and cleverly maneuver the puppets to traditional music, telling ancient folk tales. Fireworks and fire breathing dragons make it an amazing spectacle.
