Hi Elizabeth, your work is beautiful!! Great 'mail-themed' project; love each little original & unique pocket! So many sweet details; it's captivating!
Doesn't look liker this was a challenge, it looks amazing! Seriously GF if you need something to print Pinterest has it & then some!! I am going with 6 & 7, 6 because I love the postage stamp, stamp & 7 because of the bird. I love how you stamped the bg's with the French script. I think I over did it on the word stamp, but I know you know what I mean!lol
This is just so amazing! Love the way you personalized the mail for Kristine! This is so full of goodies! You make it so hard to decide a favorite but I will have to go with pocket 2 and 6.
I really like the middle box as the message is wonderful. I couldn't see the words at first but my trusty magnifying glass is always handy. The post card with her name on it is a loving touch
I didn't notice the charm hanging off the left side, lovely touch. The pony express is a perfect way to start the mail delivery. I think the air balloon is cute and of course the air planes is a great addition
A wonderful walk down a historical lane with the evolution of the mail service. I like the little note you wrote in the pocket. You always amaze me with your creations. I am a big fan of yours, I don't think you realize that.
Believe it or not, this month's pocket letter was a bit of a challenge for me. I guess because I have very little in the way of mail-themed diecuts. After choosing my script paper I inked the edges and then sprayed with Tim Holtz Distress Mica Spray in Antique Bronze.
As I was working on pockets 6 through 9, I decided to find and print out images online starting with the Pony Express because that was pretty much the first delivery service. I've had the hot air balloon sticker from the Dollar Store in my stash for ages and thought it was a cute one to add. Vintage lace underneath that was from my Mom's stash. Next, the Air Mail airplanes. The lower image in pocket 3 is a copy of an original airmail plane I found. In pocket 4 the envelope and letter are 49 & Market Sweet Reflections Laser Cuts and I wrote a short note to my swap partner, Kristine! Mint lace underneath from Laura. In pocket 5 these are images of real vintage catalogs that I thought were so pretty. In pocket 6 I used my stamp die from Amazon cutting out a piece of Stamperia's Shabby Rose paper and then stamped on it. The lace underneath is from Laura. Pocket 7 - I used Stamperia's Garden (the bird image) and under that is from Prima Nature Garden. The postcard in pocket 9 is Stamperia Shabby Rose. The stamps I used in pockets 7 and 9 were from Marci.
Lace on the border is from Walmart. Bulb pins from Jessica. In the charm I fussy cut a stamp from Stamperia's Garden, glued it in and then used Glossy Accents to fill it in. Beads from my stash. Thank you to all my friends for the goodies I used here.
Thank you all for visiting my gallery! I've added close-ups of each row.
