Where I grew up you rake piles into the street and then a giant "vacuum" comes and sucks em up about 1x week…here we have that - on the BUSY streets
on side streets like mine, they come with MANY workers and rake/scoop/shovel with big back hoe things the leaves into HUGE piles like this and LEAVE THEM THERE in the middle of the block.... then tomorrow or the next day. They will come with a HUGE dump truck and a back hoe and make all sorts of racket scraping the thing on the street as they shovel them up into the big dump truck and haul them away in the mean time, we have to drive around these MONGO piles. PLUS if it rains or snows - you should SEE the mess. It's even better when fall is late... and it snows, and then people put out their trees and you have leaf piles, snow, ice, tree tumbleweeds - it's unreal!!! PS - that's Sarah in the photo - and she's 5'2"!!!
