Gosh this is beautiful! I think when you get this album printed for her, you should tuck little notes behind the layouts that include parts of your 'description' to us...like the last couple lines on this one. It would be like a hidden treasure of what lies in her grandma's heart...
This totally choked me up! I wouldn't know how to handle eerything you and poor little Kylie hae been through. I would defineately hae to move to be closer.
LOVE this. I really like the music + butterfly theme combination and the way you laid out the seperate pieces. And everytime I see this photo of Kylie the first thing that crosses my mind is how much she looks like the pics we've seen of your DH. Not any particular feature . . . just the way the pieces are put together.
This is so sharp and clear. BUTTERFLIES!! I have to show my OTHER sister this layout! She loves them so much she put a tattoo on her foot! lol! Kylie is awesome. All the lovely colors and butterflies surrounding her makes me feel she is enjoying them, watching them, just at peace for that moment! Great job, Deb!
WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT!! SUCH A BEAUTIFUL LITTLE GIRL, AND YOU MADE SUCH A BEAUTIFUL LO JUST FOR HER. NO LITTLE GIRL SHOULD HAVE TO GO THROUGH SO MUCH, BUT FORTUNALELY SHE IS SO STRONG AND BRAVE. AND YOU DOCUMENTING EACH PHASE OF HER RECOVERY AND TRIALS WILL MEAN SOOOOO MUCH TO HER WHEN SHE IS A YOUNG WOMAN. LOVE TO YOU BOTH. (and i'm not ever sappy)
I do hope you are happy with this layout - absolutely beautiful - don't know how it could be any better - and it's alway heartwarming to hear how brave our little ones can be. Beautifully designed and those elements are fantastic!!!
Deb, this is a beautiful page for Kylie. She will love this album, especially knowing Gramma made each page with so much love, and fought the battle every step of the way with her.
I don't even know what to say...since I first started checking through your gallery I have been in love with "Kylie's Song." Just the idea of scrapping her whole battle and the title is perfect. This is absolutely the perfect cover page! The picture is amazing and the elements are so perfect for it!
You're gonna make me cry again, my heart breaks for any child having to go through such a rough time! But thankfully she survived like a true champ!! Such a sweet page to do for her!!!
OMGosh Deb.....this is stunning!! I so love everything about it and that photo of Kylie says it all. Bless her heart! One day she is going to look through her scrapbook and know just how much she was loved by her family. And especially gramma!! You do awesome work Deb!! I always get excited to see that you have added a new page! Keep 'em coming!
Oh Deb, this is just beautiful!! Love all the elements. Poor baby, she looks completely worn out here. So happy she's still in remission and feeling much better, love seeing her smiles these days! Keep singing your beautiful song little one, we're all listening!
I have scrapped this photo before and was never completely happy with the layout. This photo was taken at Children's Hospital in Iowa City on September 21, 2006, the day of Kylie's diagnosis with ALL. She has been through so much and has come miles since this day! Through it all she has remained a happy, well-adjusted little girl ... so resilient, so brave and so strong! I have learned so much from this child about faith, love and hope. Kylie you keep singing your song little one...I'll be right here listening with my heart. Gramma loves you Sweetpea!
