WOW! Has it been a year? So much has happened! I have learned so much! I have to give much of the credit to Scraphappen (Lynn) as she always encouraged me to "go ahead and put it up" when I had been ill or unable to give back what I got. This experience introduced me to the Community Gallery also, where I learned more techniques, ideas, learning also from my fellow Group members. I have to give much much credit to GrammaCuts (Deb) as she was using this program called LumaPix FotoFusion. She did things with it I couldn't believe. I tried my best to make Microsoft Word do what she was doing. One day she nearly put my eye out with a "gleam or glint" in one of her grandson's eyes. I had already downloaded the free download, but I'm a show me person! When I got the "gleam or glint". I bought it immediately. I know there's other programs, but this is one anyone can do! I have learned perserverence. This is the first time I have entered so many challenges. (Thank you FABLADY) I can't believe how many I'm in now.
Going back to the start, I have to give multitudes of credit to IAMSAMSCRAPPER. I started with small games and then onto a few layouts, then some journaling. I moved on, she became a gramma and got quite busy. I'll never forget you Sandra! YOU gave me my start....Except my sister SMILEMY18, (Emily) rooked me into signing up and got my mind off my problems.
Being with the group has been important. I am a shut-in. After a long period, your friends kind of fade away. But now I have friends from everywhere, anytime, day, whatever. I see their pictures and work everyday and that's enough for me. Nicki, Kate, to name a couple more have been special too. I have been hugged so many times! It really feels good too! Ok, done! I made this card in fotofusion, it is a two pager. I will be able to print it properly as a card. I did have to resort to Microsoft word again to get my curved words, then to paintshop pro to make jpgs out of items I snagged offf the Internet!
Oh, I failed to mention the person who originally formed all of the groups that are of the Wonders of the world! Irene, (SCRAPPERLICIOUS) Don't know where my mind is! She's beautiful, I swear she has a thousand fingers, busy, busy, busy. She's already a Queen! She deserves it too! QUEEN IRENE THANKS!
The Wonders of the world (the ancient ones) are proof of their creator's beauty and desire for beauty, perfection, and longevitity (sp). We are appropriately named under groups of the Wonders of the World after those works of history and beauty, and and as members we are pursuring the same goals for ourselves, our friends, our families. We continue today. I thank Irene for being our creator, our mentor, our friend! You are awesome Irene!
