Journaling (on back) Reads: Aslan LOVES to be outside! I am not much of an outside person though, so besides when we go for walks I do not usually take him out. That is why he gets so excited about deck time. Deck time is when Aslan and Poppy go outside to have some quality time together on the river side deck. I can understand why they both love it out there so much...the view is amazing! It is just too dang hot out there, especially this time of year. It was in the 90s when they were out today. And both boys enjoy sunning themselves. So today (June 29, 2008), I snuck up from inside first and then outside to get a picture of this regular ritual. They were so cute sleeping together, but then I woke them up! :) Oops! But this is not just for Aslan's benefit. I remember when my grandparent's had their last dog, Cricket, an English Mastiff. Poppy and Cricket used to go outside to have deck time too (especially when someone was vacuuming!). I know Poppy is going to miss the time he gets to spend with Aslan when we move to North Carolina. And I feel guilty for taking Azzie away from Granny and Poppy, but I could not imagine my life without my baby boy. I need him, So as much as it hurts me that in a month and a half Poppy and Aslan will no longer have deck time, I know Azzie and I are moving on to do great things in our lives!
