I wasn't sure if I liked the muted tones of Basic Grey's Wassail line at first but I thought it went perfect with this photo that I used an antique color layer on.
The journaling reads "On Christmas morning, Olivia didn't tear open her gifts, she wanted the first gift opened to be the one she chose for her brother from her school Christmas shop. It was a bit bittersweet that AJ didn't show an interest in her Backyardigans stuffed toy. She took it all in stride and later whispered to me “Mom it hurt me a little bit that he didn't like my gift but then I remembered that he's just little and he didn't mean it”. The whole thing was so precious. She is really a special child with a heart of gold. ~ December 25, 2008"
