Now if you'd never mentioned all those changes, we would never have known! This really caught my eye - all the seaside elements are lovely! If you added doodling around the border, it would make it look as though your ripped corner was entirely intentional!

My older dd at the beach the other day. She wouldn't allow me to make fins for her like in my other dd's lo. I wanted to but oh well. I had some journaling in the upper corner and hated it so I ripped off the corner and backed it with a scrap of the pp. When I was partially cutting the big seahorse I cut his tail off by mistake. I made a new one out of Patina stickles.
