This is my dad when he looked to be about 14, and I can't wait to show this pic to my oldest son because of the grin on my dad's face that looks for all the world like that famous Elvis lift of one lip! The reason I can't wait to show my son is that when we moved to Price and he started jr. high he was the only boy in his class who could grow sideburns, so they nicknamed him Elvis! He has a perfectly beautiful name with great sentimental value (it came from my maternal grandfather with a story) but he has been know by Elvis ever since. When I called his friends home I had to ask for Elvis or they didn't know who I was talking about. When he had to wear a name tag at work, it said Elvis! When I saw this pic, I knew he came by that name naturally! LOL!

I used Begahunna's June Swirlydoo sketch with SWR Industrial Park collection pps, CB alphas, ribbon and rubons. That lovely gold swirl was designed and cut for me by my dear friend Bella. With rare patience, I waited until I had just the right layout to show it off! Because my alphas only came with 1 "F" I used the empty space to trace and cut one out from matching pp. I made the cog embellies by masking and cutting them out and then adding rubons. I also used rubons on the border ribbon, which was interesting trying to get it not to move around, which it did anyway as you can undoubtedly see.
