You guys are extremely lucky to have found a great school and transportation. Sounds like a wonderful kiddo and sounds like he will thrive in his new school and with his Mom and famliy support. I attended a bowling fundraiser for my BFF's nephew in the spring. I won the 50/50 but secretly wanted the scrap basket prize!!! The money goes to helping pay for his Aide while he is in mainstream school since the district won't provide one. Ugh! The school wants him in special classes, but he doesn't need to be so its all put on the parents. He is doing great!! Love these fun pp's!!
My Husbands nephew has autism, his mom has been awesome with him and he has gone from a child that didnt want to be shown affection to a very loving young man who loves to hug and say I love you. He even got up on stage and sang with the band at our wedding. All it takes is patience and support and it looks like Jesiah has that. Its great that the extended family supports his mom. It looks like Jesiah has good things in store for him. Awesome lo!!! Love the title.
He is a QT-PIE! Awwww, he liked that you did a page on him! Cool. I love the photo, Karen. Love the ricrac framing, the arrow draws your eye right to his smile, the title work is so FUN! I am wishing him all the best this coming school year....sounds like good things are in store~
Oh this is just beautiful and heart warming!! Yes is really is handsome young dude with a heart melting smile... Glad that there is support for the family and they do not have to struggle alone...God Bless...
Ahhhhh - I have tears in my eyes as I write this note. I am so happy for you and your niece that God has sent Jesiah to a wonderful school. He is very handsome!!!
Jesiah looks and sounds like an awesome young man! So glad that they are getting a break; so nice when things go well. I wish continued luck to both this cool and definitely handome young man and his mom! Love the great pp and wonderful design, Karen!! (One of Will's good friends has Asperger's syndrome.)
This handsome dude is my great nephew, Jesiah. He is 12 years old and I love him to pieces. Jesiah is one of the sweetest, most loving kids in the world. My journaling block says he is: loving, kind, thoughtful, gentle, curious, smart, handsome and silly. All true. He is also annoying, unpredictable, moody, and socially inappropriate. Last year he was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, a form of autism.
My niece Cassie is his mom and she is raising him alone. Jesiah has struggled in school, church, and anywhere there is structure. Sometimes buildings with flourescent lighting send him downhill fast. As extended family, we offer all the love and support we can, especially to Cassie. Through a set of miraculous circumstances, Jesiah will attend a new school this fall that addresses the special needs of kids with autism. A van will even come to pick him up and bring him home everyday so Cassie does not have to worry about the commute. We are so thankful to God for this provision and ray of hope for our sweet boy! The staff is amazing and has told Jesiah that he is such a smart and bright boy. Change is difficult for him and they are helping him adjust to the year ahead. Here's to a GREAT year, Buddy!
When Jesiah saw this layout he said, "Is that me?" I assured him it was and he said, "Thank you! I really AM handsome!"
