this is for the challenge Scrap you trip to Mars.
Here's the journalling:

As some of you may have suspected, I am originally from Mars. I migrated to Earth in 1995 when I had met my now husband. He was working on Mars as a Ride Superintendent for the largest commuter shuttle station on Mars. He is originally from Earth and only to moved to Mars because the pay was infinitely better there. So, here is my story about my trip back home to Mars.

In 2005 I had a very special trip to Mars for a family reunion.

I went to Michigan to meet up with my Uncle Al. He owns a shuttle van business and traverses people and supplies to and from Mars. It was a long ride but it was well worth it because I was going home to see my family.

When we arrived on Mars we went straight to Uncle Al and Aunt Jan's beautiful home on the south side. My whole family surprised me by being there. Notice the striking family resemblance?

They had prepared a meal fit for a Martian King. Low and behold it was my absolute favorite... Chicken Pot Pie. I was so happy that my mom remembered my favorite Martian food and made it especially for me! Dinner was delicious and clean up was a snap. The pie plates are self cleaning so there were no dishes to be washed...ever! I was a little saddened by that fact but knowing I was going to go back to Earth to a sink full of dirty dishes I was okay with it.

My family was amazing and I had so much fun. My cousin Mark from Neptune was there and he's always fun to be around even if he is a little different! Cousin Mark called a family conference. We were shocked to find out that he has a new job as a steam mop salesman. Cousin Mark is always doing strange things like that, at one point he even tried to sell pet rocks. That didn't work out well for him. I wished him luck with his new job. He'll need it!!

It really was the best of times and I can't for my next trip to my home planet..Mars!
