SHCG: GREAT page where to start. LUV you color choices and the split photo between the pages.the tree is fantastic. Great country side and great two page spread.
SHCG: You have nice balance in your photo placement, and the tranquil color scheme matches the pics. I like the continuity that slicing the central pic in half brings to the spread. You keep impressing me with your use of the SCAL. That tree alone is the best use of it I've seen yet! I suggest adding a shadow effect to the title in a dark color so that it stands out more, or maybe even double mat it in white, then a dark color. Finally, I think the left space in the right page could use something as simple as ... Pretty pps, too, Chris.
SHCG: Very pretty- great lift! At first I had a hard time seeing the tree but I think it's just due to the small size of the photo here... now that I know it's a tree it pops right out at me. Great job!
SHCG - Chris, I friggin LOVE this lift. The pp pack works so well for your multi-pics, nice overall placement. The rounded ink corners look great as does the title. The trees are fantastic!! The bottom center pic is cool the way you split it. I've seen pics of this place online &, due to my acrophobia, just looking at these makes me weak in the knees, LOL. BUT I'm glad your DH got to take a look around while he was there & had a great time. The title is a bit hard to see on the left side when it's over the light sky part of the pic, but I don't care, it still works for me. Beautiful outdoorsy LO, marvelous work!
Hubby was in Norway for work back in June and actually got to see some of the country (which is unusual). Anyways, I was able to whittle down 7 men's pictures (somewhere over 300) and came up with 7 to use. The bottom middle picture is just cutto cross the two pages.
Tree was made with SCAL, chalked and inked, cut to 4" by 8". Title was cut with SCAL with a height of 3" . Font: Learning Curve.
Journaling: Pulpit Rock or Preikestolen, Prekestolen in Norwegian, is one of the areas most profound tourist attractions. This natural rock formation with a 25 meter squared plateau stands 604 meters above the sea. Thousands of tourists visit the Rock every year. The trip takes about two hours by foot, but the rock formation can also be enjoyed from the sea by boat. The original name of the rock formation is "Hyvlatonnå" - which means the tooth of a woodplane. Today's name could have its origin in the shape or possibly be due to that it might have been a place of sacrifice.
