After 35 years, my bff Ann and her hubby Ron, finally drove back to Maine from Nebraska. We decided to take them to Bar Harbor to go out on a Whale Watch. I believe this was a three hour trip. We left on a sunny bright day, only to get out in the middle of the Atlantic (well it seemed like the middle) only to be surrounded by a thick deep fog. We sat on top of the boat, and had a blast, all the way out and all the way back. Didn't see any whales that day due to being fogged in and got our money back, or vouchers to go on another trip. Of course being out on the ocean, we who had them, were wrapped up in anything we could find, hats, sweatshirts, blankets as it turned COLD! We were the smart sailor's, stayed up high so we didn't need the puke pouches! lol. We went inside the cabin for a quick snack toward the end of the trip, only to feel like we had walked into a morgue - green, white faces, and they all looked miserable. Such a fun day, a nice way to spend time with our wonderful friends. I am in the black hooded sweatshirt, and Annie like a true sailor has her denim jacket on without a care in the world. My hubby and Ron were towards the back so they could keep an eye on us.
Everyone should experience this trip out to sea once in their life times. TFL
