this was made for octobers week 1 sketch challenge. it was sooooo fun to make this all work but i had the HARDEST time findin a title i liked.. i had the whole thing assembled for a few days and still no title came to mind. well yesterday i was sittin in the doctors office and found this FANTASTIC poem.. it automatically caught my eye because of the title, "let go and let God".. i never knew there was a poem along with the quote!
Poem is written, on reversible handmade paper with eyelets and ribbon at the top, behind the photo with hidden journaling... it reads,

"As children bring their broken toys in tears for us to mend,

I brought my broken dreams to God, Because he is my friend.

But then instead of leaving him to do his work alone,

I hung around and tried to help in ways that were my own.

At last i snatched them back and cried,

"How could you be so slow?" "My child," he said,

"What could I do, you never did let go.

-lauretta p. burns"
"
isnt that powerful!!!???

my other quote in there by the flower and above the title is proverbs 3; 5-6. it reads,
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths."

these papers and rope fiber (under pic) were in the lazy days kit for zany zinnia and they were sooo fun to use!
i used a gold stamp to make some swirls on random parts of LO.
tearing paper this much was so fun for me. it was my first time makin the torn part an embellisment of its own. :) yay

TFL!!
