My ds woke up one morning with hives all over his body. So I wrote this silly poem for him.
Journaling says:
Itchy Bumps
One morning when I got you up out of bed,
you were covered in bumps
from your feet to your head.
I ran from your room and made such a
clatter, daddy ran out to see what was the matter.
Off to the doctor we flew like a kite,
Mommy held it together, but it took all her might.
The doctor said, no need to fear,
An allergy is what we have here.
What did you touch, Oh what did you eat,
That would cover you in bumps from your head to your feet?
Mommy thought hard and Mommy thought long
Then it hit her like a bomb!
A smoothie is what you had ingested,
Who would have ever guessed it!
No more smoothies for you little one
At least until you are twenty-one.
