This is for a swap w/ the Manhattan Scrapbooking Meetup.com group. Theme is "New Year 2010". The callout has the her saying "Tonight I'm gonna party like it's 2010 (sing it like the PRINCE SONG!)" - LOL! I heard about the New Year's theme & Prince's "1999" started going through my head so I went w/ it. (Then U2's "New Year's Day" started going through my head but I was already going in this direction).
Hard to see some of the shiny/sparkly aspects of this card online. The background is silver foil cs. The necklace, hat & dress neckline are Stickled, the Crystal on the necklace/hat reflect a few colors & it's pretty cool. The drink was Glossy Accents'ed to look like liquid. FYI, the woman was an online free image & the hats were cut from party invitations. The pp is are from DCWV Stacks that are over 4 yrs old, I still have fun w/ 'em!
The swap specified that the cards be near identical so people wouldn't be going on about who gets the best cards, etc. At first I was dismayed, because I enjoy using different quotes, supplies etc per card. But once I found myself working on this later at night than I had planned, I was grateful that I had to make 'em the same. I DID change up the party hats, I alternated between 5 different ones (15 ATCs total).
