In 1987, we took our then 2 year old son and 4 year old daughter to the Corning Museum of Glass (in central NY). The were fascinated (and dwarfed by) the first casting of a 200" telescope lens on display in the foyer. My husband took these amazing (pre-digital!) photographs of them silhouetted by the honeycombed shape lens.

This layout was made for the February "Country Love" Lyric Challenge. The vellum sub-title "I hope you never lose your sense of wonder" is from the song of love and encouragement "I Hope You Dance" by Lee Ann Womack (2000).

By the way, the casting of the 200" Hale Reflecting Telescope is still on exhibit at the museum (23 years later) and is prominently featured on their website.

Thanks for looking!!
