Kay this is awesome!! that a great layout!! LOVE all the little details you put into this.. Love the papers.. and how your perfect butterflies match!!! BEAUTIFUL!!
Such beautiful colours created with this mix of papers. Cute little roses around the circle and pretty butterflies add interest and style. Great journaling too!
Fabulous journaling and a beautiful page! How wonderful of your teacher to plant those words in your heart and mind. They obviously stuck with you and you know it was a compliment! Every child and teen needs teachers like that one. Words have such power, don't they? Love the pretty colors you used here and all the butterflies. The butterflies are significant, for sure!
Very sweet page Kay...love the journaling! I'm actually scrapping my prom pic right now...long story behind that...lol!! Youre butterflies are so pretty!!
Love the journaling girl. And don't worry you weren't the only one who was considered a dork in school. I think we are the ones who did better for ourselves then the others did after H.S. Your butterflies are really pretty.
Maravilloso journaling Kay!! Y me encanta la idea de hacer páginas sobre una misma!! A veces nos olvidamos de esas lindas personas que somos!! Me encanta como siempre tu diseño!!
This is absolutely fabulous! I love your journaling, I love your photo, and especially love your design!!!! Beautiful submission - I hope you make it!!!!!
If only we knew then what we know now....and there would be no worries in high school, about hair, clothes or fitting in!!! Maybe every high school should have a scrapbooking club. Then they would solve most of life's problems like we do here at SBC! ha ha ha Love how you scrapped this, Kay, and I LOVE your journalling. I have my Middle school photos staring me in the face...so maybe I'll take your cue and finally scrap them! Thanks for sharing.
This is my DT submission for this week's first challenge going on over at Scrap Yourself. The challenge was to scrap high school pics of yourself! Geez...talk about a tough challenge! Especially being the queen of dorks back in the day--but here it is. I actually scanned & then printed my Junior year H.S. ID. The rainbow butterflies are from my little Etsy shop.
Journaling reads: You were called a 'diamond in the rough' by your English teacher during your Junior year of high school. You had no idea what that really meant. I mean, look at you, with your guitar pick earrings & your failed attempts at 'teasing' your bangs. You were a quiet misfit with misfit friends & you were always one step behind on the latest fashion trend. But you were happy just being yourself. Eventually you realized that that's what your English teacher meant by that comment. You were happy with yourself, you just had to let the world know this. So you did just that, you embraced yourself imprefections included & the diamond in the rough became an actual diamond...
