This is a picture taken around 1954 of my brother and I on Dad's knee. I fought with this lo if you know what I mean. I tried making my own photo corners and I thought I would try to make my own background with different inks of the same stamp. I painted the title using the paper left from previous lettering as my template. The journaling is: "This is a picture of my brother Dennis, my Dad Leon Cunningham and me Cheryl C. Ballard taken at a visit to my Grandparents in Louisville. Nannaw and Grandaddy Cunningham always doted on us and made us feel special. I would guess this was around 1954. I love the cute expression on my brothers face . I of course am happy to be sitting with my Daddy and feeling pretty in my new jumper and patent Mary Janes. Daddy sure had his hands full! We were three years apart and I never wanted to displease my Daddy in any way. My brother was a different story. He was called Dennis the Menace as a little boy. He was active and tried both my parents but grew up to be a quiet, well-behaved man. We both look pretty innocent in this picture don't we? ~Juy Heritage Challenge~
