Patty, I don't even know where to begin. this is so incredible and I am going to have to look at it several times to take it all in. You are too cool for words.
Images printed onto transparencies????AWESOME!!!!! Great idea. LOVE the airship. Love Steampunk~ The gears and optical lens are perfect elements to use on this LO. Lee is so cute...has a sense of humor in this photo. Wonderful pattern mix, Patty! I especially like the masking in the bg. You have fabulous handwriting, as usual. Good luck in the Challenge! xxxxxx
oh totally agree with kobe...not your usuual type of creation....but oh my this is an awesome presentation....I,m sure your page will do well in the challenge
I am totally LOVING your steampunk style! (Go Patty, go Patty . . .) I especially like how you inked around the prima stencils - that looks soooooo cool! This is an AWESOME and creative layout! (and I haven't seen any steampunk stinkers!!)
I've seen some real "steampunk" stinkers in the last couple of weeks but this LO is smoking the competition!!!! Love the color and paper choice and I love the illustrations you found. Great photo that actually matches the LO!
awesome job with the steam punk, love the color and the details on this. Steam punk is a bit hard for me yet, but hopefully someday i might try and give it a go. beautiful job.
I am certainly not an expert on steampunk but it sure looks good to me. I love the details and especially the eye. I also enjoy your comments because you let us know how you created the layout. Thanks
Ok....here's my first attempt at Steampunk, and am entering this LO in the September Steampunk Challenge...I LOVE doing something new wiith my SBing!!! Used BG's Origins Collection for the pp,, then inked around the new Prima Stencils Mix #5 Used 7 Gypsies Steampunk Rubons, in several places. Also, I used a clock face and measuring tape trim from my stash. I got the airship image off of Internet, as well as the eclectic eye image. They were both printed onto transparencies, then trimmed. Over the eye was glued a vintage optical lens, which was once used by an optometrist to test eye patients' vision. Had to use a TH Philosophy Tag, of course...And some laser cut gears from a SB convention....sorry, don't know the manufacturer. Also, used Maya Road wings on either side of the clock face that were crackle painted. and border punched the pp behind the photo. With EK Success binding Edge punch.
The photo is a picture of my DS, Lee, while doing some lab work for a college chemistry class.
