Wow, Wow, Wow. This is incredible!! No such thing as 'overdistressing' (love that term though!). Sometimes creative 'accidents' turn out to be our biggest masterpieces! Congrats on a beautiful LO.
Wow, this a amazing vintage work! the picture is so wonderful, that this works with very little embellishments. The papers are a perfect choice. It looks like something out the old family albums, with those beautiful flower designs. I think you put the perfect title!
I love it when that happens...page creates itself!!!!! And I love this one....Great job....distressing is perfect love the photo and the title says it all!!!!!
wow, Scout really helps inspire you, this is a gorgeous LO! my dog just lays around when I am scrapping and keeps my feet warm, lol. Love the elegant, vintage look of this page!
You know, Jeannie, I enjoyed your description as much as I enjoyed looking at your page!! This lo is just WONDERFUL!! What a lovely heritage pic of your mother...she is a BEAUTY! And obviously I'm not the only one who likes your "Scout Distressing Technique"! lol! Very pretty pps...really like the layering!
So pretty! i like the punched edge of the pink(?) pp and how it just kinda peeks out from behind the distressed pp on top. You did an awesome job on the ruffled looking edge around the circle, it looks like fabric but I'm guessing its pp because it looks like you inked the edges??!! Your mess was worth it because it turned out fabulous!!
Great idea to use the background paper as sort of you journaling... The disstressing is perfect. The lo looks like it has been around for ages.. Not sure if that was the look you were looking for but it is beautiful. Your mom is beautiful! I dont like to use the word" was" when pertainging to people. But this lo is beautiful!
I don;t think this is over-distressed at all. It goes well with the photo. I love how you used the border punch peeking out from under the main background paper. I really love this!
BEAUTIFUL....the layers look amazing and the I love the colours you chose! I think the distressing looks wonderful!! Your mother is very beautiful!! Love it!!!
Absolutely gorgeous vintage layout! I love the photo of your mom! I love when layouts don't turn out like I had planned - sometimes they take on a mind of their own!!! Yours turned out beautifully!!!
Boy did this one create itself. There is almost no resemblance to my original idea..which was kind of vague anyway...and the mess I made creating this...that should be a layout in itself. No matter what I did to this is just didn't look right...and look, no flowers except the ones in the pp...some of which I cut out. None of the dozens of flowers I had out for this looked good here. I think I may have overdistressed..sorta looks like my dog Scout got ahold of it. Anyway this is my lovely mother and as there is no date on the photo I have to guess. I think she is around 20 and I think it was around the time she got married. The pp with the text on it (that has lots of wonderful definitions that describe my mom), the floral pp and the checked pp are all K and Co but I don't know which line and 2 butterflies are also by K and Co. My sis gave me the K and Co pps. Border punch is by Martha Stewart. The golden thingies are by Jolees Boutique. This is an entry in the September Distress challenge and the Heritage challenge and the Use your Supplies challenge week 3.
