SHCG: I'd love to try some summary los, but I'd have a hard time being selective with the photos. I'm with everyone on moving in from Thanksgiving. I'd like to see one more heart below your sister's photo, to continue the heart trail and to include an odd number of hearts. I'd also like to see some of the doodling you did in the title continued on the three diamonds. Minimal suggestions from me in keeping with your simplified approach. I love the bit in your journaling about Greg noticing your belly laughs, and it seems evident that he is observing you in a fit of one in the karaoke pic below your journaling. Sweet moment captured there among many in your spread.
SHCG: What a great lo! I just love the design and the fact that you managed to fit so many photos from this awesome Thanksgiving! I love the colors and the way you used blue and green on the title! I think you should move San Diego to the right page and "in" before San Diego. The journaling is full of details-as usual and that is great! Great 2pager to remember the out-of-state, all the family together Thanksgiving!
SHCG: Cute! The first thing that stood out to me was that I thought that 'thanksgiving' was spelt wrong until I realized that it says 'thanksgiving in' I think that the 'in' should be moved a little more to the right. I like how you've placed all the photos, another great layout with so so many photos in it.
shcg: great colors, love the design to get so many pictures in. Also agree with "in" being too close to Thanksgiving. I read it as Thankgivin before I really READ it, if you know what I mean. I might need to copy this design. Great job!
SHCG: GReat LO! I love the placement of the pictures and color choices. I agree with Michelle the 'IN" is a tad close to Thanksgiving. I am always amazed at how complete your journaling is, wonderful for those viewing your albums for years, and years to come.
SHCG:This is a beautiful LO. I love all the candid shots and how they have everyone smiling. The inking around the pics really make them pop. I like the font for the title and how you gitter dotted them. I think the "in" is a bit too close to "Thanksgiving" as when I read it I had a difficult time figuring out what it said. I like the background paper with the same colors faintly on it. I love the flow of the pictures, with the angled on top and the straight on the bottom.
This is a summary LO re: our Family Thanksgiving '08 in San Diego, when we met up w/ my out-of-state family & all stayed at a beach house on the bay. I've done a couple LOs from this trip already (What the Holidays Mean To You, Legoland) so this 2-pager sums up the trip overall & gave me the chance to scrap several more pics.
As usual, my scanner cropped off some of the the edges. Also, not sure why that turquoise Club Scrap handmade paper looks more blue on one side, green on the other. I really wanted to use both blue & green letters but once they were all done, I had to dot them w/ gel pen in an attempt to tie them all together... I stamped the background in both blue & lt green.
Journaling "For Thanksgiving ’08 our family gathered in Shirley’s town, San Diego. 4-bedrm beach condo rental off Mission Bay & a few blocks from Mission Beach. So nice! Outlet shopping. Latin-dance-inspired DVD workouts w/ Mom. Shirley’s omelets. Torrey Pines hike. Legoland! Zia’s in Little Italy. Bocce ball! Crafts gallery/shop. “Would You Rather…?” Divine mega-portioned brunch at Hash House A Go Go. Chillin at Shirley’s. Holiday feast at the condo, memorably: Bristol Farms’ stuffing, cranberry relish & gravy; my “farfel” (actually gravied barley), Sarah’s candied carrots, Gigi’s smoked bacon corn & Sean’s peanut butter pie. Shirley’s paintings/collages to each family (together spelling “family”). Video, photos. Beach & bay strolls. Black light mini golf. The ___s’ visit (Richie, Kori & Sky) (my late friend Cindy's bro & his family). And most of all, family togetherness! Chillin, talkin, laughin, relaxin, eatin, sharin, loving – an amazing celebration as our annual holiday reunions usually are! Sadly, theft of Viddy (camcorder) from our bags discovered once home. No matter, we had a fabulously loving & FUN time! Greg said he heard me belly-laugh all week. My family may all live in different states & may not see each other often but when we do, it is awesome!! I'm so grateful to have spent time w/ everyone, & that we are all happy & healthy."
