Journaling: We spent Christmas Day at Marc and Karen’s. They started hosting Christmas several years ago so that the kids could go upstairs and play with their new toys while the adults opened their presents. It worked so well that we’ve continued the tradition. This year, she invited the Kimpels to join us. Mrs. Kimpel had both Katie and Sam for K-3, and it was delightful getting to know her and her family better. Sam got a Nerf gun as big as a bazooka; Tom got the avocado tree he asked for, and I was in Seminole heaven with Bobby’s book and an FSU snuggie. Matthew checked out the “Star Wars” AT-AT that Katie and Sam got. Merry Christmas, all! 12.25.10
