This Christmas was the first time I didn't have my daughter on Christmas morning. We had Christmas Eve together but it was a little stressful. She was feeling the stress too being shuttled between 2 homes and having to leave her step siblings and wondering if they were having fun without her. She was a bit snippy and I told her that she hurt my feelings and not to speak to me until she could be nice.
A few minutes later she handed me the note on the left that says "I love you mommy your the best in the world. Im sorry i was mean to you. I love you"
It was the best Christmas present ever.
I wrote her back "I love you too pumpkin. you are the best kid in the world and I am proud you are my little girl. Love Mommy" We kissed and made up and had a great night from then on.
