I won the People's Choice Award today for my Breast Cancer Awareness mixed media at the International Butterfly Festival. The piece is called "harsh". It's an acrylic painting mixed media. I made the skirt from hundreds of handmade breast cancer ribbons made from cardstock and inked several different ways to construct the skirt, used distress ink, crackle paint and Tim Holtz tiny stapler to put them togther.
