This is my great grandparents, Alfonso, and Emily, my great uncle Tom, my grandpa Ira, and my great uncle Patrick (in the Christening gown).
This photo was taken around 1903...They were from Bournie Texas, near San Antonio...
Alfonso was a big deal in that little community, he was the dentist, the Justice of the Peace, a Law man, and he raised Big Horn Cattle...he held the record for many years, and may still have it, for the longest set of horns, rumor has it, that those horns hang in a bar in San Antonio.
Emily would have a total of 5 children, losing her life in childbirth with the last one, the only girl Myrtle.
My great grandfather then migrated to Arizona in a wagon with all 5 kids, where he met his next wife, and they had a few more kids. I never met him, he died long before I was born, but I did meet his second wife, she lived to be almost 100, and my grandpa was very fond of her.
This is for Maritica's Heritage Challenge, with a twist
to scraplift a LO,
I didn't have that same mask, so I drew one, and cut it from TH masking sheet...
I used the left over doily cut paper from my last LO on this, since I don't use many punches..
I had some vintage hand crocheted lace, that I used on this, and rather that topping it with a smaller lace, I used jute twine .
The leaves came from a person on Etsy, and it was a seafoam blingy green, that I changed with flat green paint..
the man and woman sillouttes , the name plaque, and the butterflies came from CKC year before last, and I just wanted to use them on this.
The paper is left over from Rusty Pickle's Chocolate Covered Cherries line.....TFL
and here is the link to my inspiration....
