This picture of my first Miniature Pinscher, Chatter, and me surfaced after he died in 2003. I had forgotten that my sister took it. I've been wanting to scrap it for awhile and this week's sketch #231 at Sketch Inspiration - sketchinspiration.ning.com - seemed perfect for it. The flower was made from a used dryer sheet following Gabi's tutorial. Journaling reads:

Lady Chatterley's Lover
“Chatter”
05/22/88 – 12/31/03

You were my first Miniature Pinscher. Knowing nothing about the breed didn't stop me from buying you. You were so cute and playful; I was over the moon from the first moment I saw you. You were a pretty destructive pup, chewing completely through the cord of a window a/c unit (fortunately it was not plugged in) and all but destroying my hairdressing scissors, but obedience school cured that. You were right by my side through all the good and bad things (my divorce, my mother's death, and then my grandmother's death) that happened during your 15 ˝ years. You were the only dog for so long and I wondered how you would do when Windsor came to live with us. But my worries were unfounded; you became the best of friends. When you were so elderly and I could barely get any food into you, he came and laid in my bed- room doorway, his head on his paws, and watched us. I will never forget the look in his eyes; he knew you would be leaving us soon. And after you were gone, we grieved together. It took us a long time to get over the fact that you were no longer here.
I will always love you to the moon and back, my sweet Chit Chat. While you are gone from my sight, you will always live in my heart. August 6, 2011
