In her “This Friendship” layout, Iris maintained the colors of the collection while adding misting and stamping to the white cardstock. The Flower Star Wreath image was first stamped in a mustard colored ink and then in a deep gray ink. Iris says, “I hand-cut the lace pattern from the paper and used it to add an interesting border in my page.” The addition of hand-sewn buttons enhances the look of fabric and texture. Her technique of inking the edges of the white cardstock ties the color scheme and design together.
