Today I turned forty. We dropped Ellie and Quinn off at school and the two of us headed to one of my favorite places to go Lake Camelot. We go there a lot. I love to go there to work on my photography and I love having you guys with because we look for ducks, geese, turtles, and beaver houses. I find so much peace there. Today it was just the two of us and it was perfect. The weather was cool but not too harsh. It was so relaxing. I took some photos of nature, some photos of you that I love and we also did a couple of self-timer shots. After our walk, we headed to Panera for hot chocolate and blueberry muffins. It was the perfect start to a new decade...celebrating the gift of life with you right alongside of me.
