I hope this gets settled for you soon. Uncertainty about a paint choice can make you feel unsettled until you finally have to paint it over, but then painting can be such a pain, so you put it off... and then it becomes this vicious cycle.
Love that blue and red! For your counter tops... did you paint them with an oil or latex? Latex is no good for a work surface, You want an oil paint because of it's final finish... it takes a while to dry though. I made the latex on counter with white mistake. Enamel would work too I think... You could just seal it with a clear coat... polyurethane it several times.
don't know how well the colors are showing up, but everything is finally painted. I couldn't sheetrock as I had wanted so just painted over the exsisting walls. The walls are a very light baby blue, tops of the counters are white (might have to re-think that one after working in here today, they stain WAY too easily, and I've been having to do touch ups all day) The fronts of the counters are a misty green, and I'm accenting with cherry red and teal.
