Give a Cheer
"Oscar loves to sleep on his back with his feet in the air. He will sleep like this, anywhere and everywhere, even outside on the back deck, oblivious to everything except his sweet kitty dreams. We love our handsome boy."
I like to think of this as a cat yoga position: "Upward Facing Feline" (as opposed to downward facing dog!)
I took this photo of Oscar in Summer 2011. It shows just how comfortable and safe he feels when we are around, especially as this is a very submissive (and vulnerable) position for a cat to be in, outdoors. Oscar sleeps where ever he falls. It's not unusual to find him sleeping like this in the middle of the kitchen floor, the living room, the couch, anywhere he chooses. He's such a ham.
I had a lot of fun doing this lo. I used some goodies that I won in the July 2011 "Scrap your pet" challenge (thanks Krista!) and lots of old supplies I've had on hand for ages. The burlap is actually paper, which I scrunched into a ball and then smoothed out. I then rubbed a distress ink pad over it to highlight the creases. This is the first time I've included stitching on my pages, it was fun, especially with the SewEasy!
