Simply gorgeous, and the story that accompanies it is precious. Love how you used the paper doily as a stencil on the wooden doily! Beautiful embellies!
This is adorable. What a cutie your Aunt Annie was as a little girl. You've done a beautiful job scrapping her photo, the dusty color palette and opulent, lush floral arrangement are just perfect choices. Love it all.
What a STUNNING and PRECIOUS LO for you to feature this lovely story o you and your "Aunt Annie"! The story alone, almost brought me to tears, Renea!
You used so many wonderful techniques here, my friend....and I love EVERYTHING you pulled out of you bag of tricks for this one....KUDOS! fave
Stunning work Renea!!! I was looking for inspiration to scrap this weekend a few photos from my grandmother in her twenties, your page is PERFECT for that, thank you!!! :)
Wow! Such an amazing story to go with your absolutely beautiful page! Oh my goodness - so many incredible details here!!!!!! and of course, I love the name Annie!!!!!!
This is lovely - what a lovely way to capture the memory of someone so special - and turning that memory into something so exquisite. Love the colours and flowers xx
This month's kit had some really beautiful vintage papers that took on a heritage feel and I had wanted to scrap this photo of my Aunt Annie for a long time and this kit offered up the perfect opportunity. As many of you know, I spent a lot of time living with my Granny, and my Granny had quite a few children of her own 7 to be exact. One of those children, was my Aunt Angela. I have always called her Aunt Annie. She is only 3 years older than me, and when we were growing up, she was my BFF, my sister, and my Aunt all rolled into one. We had some fun times. We spent many a day, dancing (we knew every version of The Bump), laughing, singing and running all over the mountain side. We were as wild as bucks, as silly as loons, and as giggly as two little girls could be. Even though I don't see her as much these days, when we get together, you hear nothing but laughter. It's as if we are still those two little girls laying under the quilts, and whispering secrets till all hours of the night. She holds a very special place in my heart, and I will never forget those sweetest of days.
I loved creating this layout of my Aunt and letting it take me back to those days so long ago. I found myself dancing, singing and laughing-I felt young again if only for a little while. Thanks for letting me share it with you! ~Renea
Thank you to Karen(LostCoastScrapper) for the beautiful lace!
