Journaling: Week 6: February 9-11
Thursday was our day off and we had a busy day ahead of us. We had to get to the BMV today and officially tag our new Outlander. David thought we would be able to just transfer the Camry or Tracer tags over but because of some titling/registration differences we ended up having to buy brand new tags. Goodbye $80! The day was beautiful and to get our spirits back up after the unexpected expenditure we took plenty of goofy –in-the-car pictures. We next stopped for a lunch date at our favorite Mexican restaurant, Chips ‘N Salsa. Yummy yummy! It was even an entertaining lunch as David kept spilling his Sprite all over the table. He would lift the glass to drink from the straw but then he would tilt the glass as well and the Sprite would go everywhere. We also overheard some kind of legal questioning going on in the booth next to us. We tried to listen without looking like we were listening. After lunch David let me grab some more scrapbooking goodies at Pat Catans and Walmart. You have to love birthday gifts the day after your birthday. Our last stop before home was David’s place of work as he had to finish some paperwork and make some calls. Knowing this was going to happen I made sure to pick up a movie to pass my time. You might ask “why would you get a movie, you are sitting in your car”, right? Well our car plays DVD’s (at least when the car is stopped)! So “27 Dresses” kept me occupied until David finished up and we could finally get back home. Our activities this day were a blast but there is always something about just being home that is the best feeling in the world. Friday was another early work day but at least it was busy so time seemed to go by a lot faster. David surprised me with another birthday present porch delivery of some awesome scrapbooking items. He really impressed me with how he made everything happen for my day. I know it took time to find all the things AND make sure they got to me on time and David never has a lot of extra time so he got a definite A+ from me this year. One more day to go! Saturday was a bad day to end my week on. Not only did I start the day working with a complete idiot but David forgot to look at my schedule on the fridge so he came to get me an hour before I was supposed to be off. I got so flustered by this that I started rushing to get done and I dropped a three foot sub onto the floor. David apologized for being early (it was an honest mistake) and my manager said she was going to let me leave early anyway PLUS she would clean up the sub disaster. Thank you Crystal! Since I didn’t get a break David bought me lunch at the Doctor (McDonalds to everyone else) which always makes things better. Winter reminded us that it was still around by covering northeast Ohio with inches of snow and I got some oh-so-cute pictures of Sweets bounding thru the yard. She is our own personal snow monster. It was a long, eventful week but we made it thru with great pictures and greater memories. See you tomorrow Sunday!
