I used paper from The Paper Source in Seattle. Here is a link to this paper online, though. http://www.paper-source.com/cgi-bin/paper/paper/japanese-papers.html. It is one sheet that is probably about 2 ft by 4 ft or so and it is like paper fabric. It doesn't tear easily. All you do is cut a piece 16 inches by 4 inches (or double the length of the size you want it). Fold the outsides into the center and glue them. Cut 4 slits for the ribbon (two on the outside edges and two near the center. I cut paper about 3.5 by 7 to fit in there. Sewed it down the middle, then sewed it to the paper cover. Then thread the ribbon through the slits. Tada! The inside paper is construction paper but I made some other ones with heavy copy paper. I sent these booklets to some children in Bolivia as gifts.
