As an adoptive Mommy, your journaling really resonated with me. How lucky she is to have you! Trust me, the birth Mom questions do come and she'll want to know the whole story. We just went through it with my 8 year old and we were as honest as possible. She's known she was adopted all through her life. She tells people she grew in another lady's belly, but she couldn't take care of her, so I got to. I think that's a great explanation when they're little. LOL
