The dance studio has this "tradition" where when someone famous in the music or theater industry dies, we have to do a tribute dance to them. When Witney Houston died, we had already started working on our dances for this year's show. Most of us figured her tribute would have to wait until next dance year. Yeah....not so much. It was decided that our modern dance was going to be changed to the Whitney Houston tribute dance. Instead of dancing to "Uninvited" by Alanis Morissette (which was the dance this costume was initially meant for), we're now dancing to "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston. Needless to say, the modern class wasn't pleased. Speaking of not being pleased, myself and the other girl wearing this costume (there's a black version being worn too) were highly displeased to discover that the pants for this costume are entirely see through. Thankfully, we got the studio to agree to let us wear tan bodystockings under it...otherwise it would have been really embarassing!
