what a GREAT photo. You are so fortunate to have these wonderful heritage photos. this lo is a TREASURE - love that you included a mini bio - WONDERFUL journaling.
Awesome vintage photo and your journaling is just awesome! That's my real weakness when it comes to lo's I don't journal nearly as much as I should! A few I take great pains to collect dates and names, but i just don't know too much about most of my heritage photo's. I try to piece together what I can so when the kids inherit, they will have a clue who these family members are, but it's definitely much more sporadic than what you do! Great job!!! I need to take a journaling lesson from you! lol
Awesome research and journaling, I can see why you love this photo. I just started some geneaology research and I have found a few handlebar moustaches myself!
Of all my wonderful heritage photos, this one has to be one of my favorites. How much do you love those handlebar moustaches??? Anyway, my great-grandmother, Mary Lee is seated on the right side of photo pictured with her four older siblings. The picture was taken in Augusta, KS. I don't know the exact date of photo but has to be early 1890's, as one of the brothers died in 1896 at age 35. This page is a re-do as I have learned a lot about her siblings in my geneaology research and I gave a brief bio of each one in the journalling. I really wanted to keep this page simple so focus is on the photo and what happened to each person in it. I hope you can read the journalling.
