i promise this is the last time i"ll post this. Its definitely an improvement on the last image. The frame, an experiment, is modeling paste. Its layers of gold paint, embossing powder, pearlex powder, gold leaf. The green flower on the upper left has a sunflower center, an earring my sis gave me. Theres a little gold four leaf clover above the bee embelly on the lower left she gave me too. This pic is from the mid80s, my first apt in the desert, Lancaster California. Moved there with dh for work from New York. This was a cat of mine who i was looking for, looked over a concrete fence enclosing my patio and there she was looking up at me. I sure did love being in the high desert. I used a bee stamp on the frame all around it but it didnt come out too well. I tried to highlight the details of the bees with black paint and that helped some on the ones that made it. Theres two embellies made with the same materials and stamp. I got the idea of stamping into this from Eleele, who used layers of embossing powder to stamp into. You can see her tutorial on the scraps of darkness link. Heating up the embossing powder made the paste melt some so i decided hey, I'll stamp it.
