We saw durians a lot in Asia and did not buy them. My husband warned me that they tasted as horrible as they smell!

I think this was one of the few things that Andrew Zimmerman of Bizarre Foods couldn't even stomach. Doesn't sound like anything I'd have to try. I think it is neat that you've included the photos of the fruit inside and out and also the vending area and all the signs that prove that not even everyone living there is fond of it either. Interesting LO.

Durian smell is horrible. I was on a cargo plane once that was entirely of Durians. The pilots were so sick from the stench and to this day, I can still smell them on that plane. Someone said the smell was a cross between rotted onion and rotted garlic but tasted like vanilla custard. I'm with you. YUCK! Great LO with all the signs. I'm laugh so hard.
