In October 2011 I enjoyed a visit to NY City with three friends. One of the highlights was visiting the Statue of Liberty. The weather could not have been more perfect and we had amazing views of Ms. Liberty which made for great photo opps! I wanted to keep the photos as the main focus of this lo, hence the minimal embellishments. The pps were gifts from one of the friends who visited NYC with me, the chippies are Scrap FX (Australia) - thanks Jilly. Lots of fussy cutting and layers. My journaling reads:
"The Statue of Liberty - a symbol of freedom and a beacon of hope and promise to all those who entered this nation under her watchful eye".
It really was a treat to see this magnificent statue, she is even more striking and beautiful IRL that she is in books.

It was a challenge to keep this page simple and minimalist - I keep thinking it needs 'something' but there is beauty in simplicity too.
