The look on your face says it all. I can't even imagine how that was not being able to hold him w/o having to ask for permission. Women usually talk about their baby's milestones, not their's. TFS.
What a beautiful and wonderful milestone. Hope you turned it into the Book Of Me Challenge that Char is hosting. I cannot imagine how high your heart leaped this day. What a wonderful moment, and how awesome that someone was there with a camera to capture it!
quote reads: "When you have a child in the NICU, you celebrate every little milestone, because it means that you are one step closer to going home. Three weeks and four days after his birth, I arrived and found Kyle in a bucket rather than the toaster he had been in thus far. After I had stopped crying (tears of joy) I took Kyle out of his basket. This was the first time since he was born that I did not need to ask permission to hold my son." - - my entry for January Design Seeds Colour Challenge
