What a neat statue and I love the mosiac maps on the floor. Great photo of it. Love that you got the shop with people in it too because it gives a great perspective of the size.

Fabulous photos. I can't imagine the work that went into making the mosiac of the world. The monument is so intricate.

On the square is mosaic with a world map, showing all the travels made by Portuguese explorers. The monument is called Padrao dos Descobrimentos in honor of the 15th and 16th century explorers.
